new york gift show: day 1
handmade section of the new york gift show: done.
and what a fun day it was. i got to see jill pearson (wasabi), jill schwartz, eric silva, mark poulin, beth mueller, dconstruct . . . plus new finds!
this is noelle vanhendrick with zpots…we can’t get enough of her beautiful poetry and pottery. it’s always a delight for me to reconnect with the artists we represent….and i especially want you to feel as though you know them too!
you are going to love jill pearson’s new wasabi line for the spring. this is my 10th year since opening heavenly metal. 10 years ago jill held my hand, offering advice when i told her i’d just opened a store and of all the jewelers in the world, i had to carry her work! she helped me figure out how to order and had watched me grow up since! jill is like family to me.
these were some of my favorites that will be coming into the store: think turquoise and coral….the colors for spring. the stones you see are from lake michigan! bringin’ it all home 😉
beth mueller ceramics are also like family ties. beth and phillip were with the original 16 hands in a2…now they live in new hampshire, still producing beth’s precious milkglass ceramic work embellished with beth’s sweet drawings.
elements by jill schwartz. ah, love. such wonderful wearable art.
jill and her man steven have got it goin’ on!
meet steve of blackthorne forge. we use his handforged jewelry displays to show off our jewelry artists.
something new for you: whitney designs earrings are metal forged in the city my mom lives in!
i searched the aisles for cute handmade baubles…..i’ve got fun rings for you!
i’ve checked out the handmade from reclaimed clothing booth, elisabethan, for years. so….i ordered some fingerless gloves, infinity scarves, and funky wrist cuffs to bring joy to my shoppers!
eric silva has a huge ann arbor art fair following…and now his jewelry will be back in ann arbor….at your favorite store, of course!
so…..that’s day one. the handmade section of new york gift show. get ready for more…..
