12/27/09: cleaned up and refreshed.

Heavenly Metal’s Day after Christmas.

Karen and I spent the entire day sprucing up the store. We took apart nearly every display, Karen touched up walls with fresh paint, and we mulled over how to tell new story’s with the remaining inventory.

12/13/09: wild about nellie mckay

. . . .sittin’ here listening to yet another live performance radio broadcast with Nellie McKay singing tunes from her latest CD: “Normal as Blueberry Pie“, a tribute to Doris Day.

I’m pretty geeked about this CD, being a big-time fan of Doris Day myself, and of Nellie McKay’s precious voice. But the funniest thing is I’m listening to her live on etown, a radio performance show hosted by an old friend, Nick Forster of Hot Rize. What a treat to hear Nick’s voice too!

I also heard Nellie McKay perform a few weeks ago on Mountain Stage. Check out this YouTube video interview from that concert.

Man I love radio……and being able to stream shows from anywhere and everywhere. That’s just one of the things that makes my world bigger and better.
